Tickets for 2013 MEAC/SWAC Challenge Presented by Disney On Sale
ESPN Regional Television (ERT), a subsidiary of ESPN, announced that tickets for the 2013 MEAC/SWAC Challenge Presented by Disney are on sale for the ninth annual matchup that will showcase the Florida A&M University Rattlers of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) against the Mississippi Valley State University Delta Devils of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) at Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 1. Tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000 or by logging on to www.meacswacchallenge.com or at the Citrus Bowl box office.
The game will be televised on ESPN Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at 11:45 a.m. ET.
The yearly event, which features teams from two prominent Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU), brings approximately 20,000 fans to Central Florida over Labor Day Weekend for the start of college football season. The event will mark the third meeting between the two storied programs – first meeting on Sept. 19, 1987 (FAMU won 10-0) and the last time they met was in Sept. 15, 1990 (FAMU won 28-13).

The MEAC/SWAC Challenge presented by Disney brings More Than A Game with several additional events taking place, including a high school career seminar on August 29 at EvansHigh School. On Saturday, August 31, fans will celebrate at a pep rally at Downtown Disney, followed by a parade and band showcase at Disney’s Epcot. The MEAC/SWAC Challenge will also honor legends from Historically Black Colleges and Universities during the Legend’s Reception at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Game day will kickoff with a Pre-Game Praise Service at Tinker Field and The Great Tailgate at McCracken Field.
