MEAC ANNOUNCES WEEKLY FOOTBALL HONORS
NORFOLK, Va., - Quentin Williams of Bethune-Cookman was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference's (MEAC) Football Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday. Davon Moore of Delaware State and Keith Pough of Howard were named Co-Defensive Players of the Week.
Brendon Riddick of Norfolk State was selected as the Rookie of the Week. Terrance Hackney, also of B-CU, was named Offensive Lineman of the Week and Morgan State's Earvin Gonzalez earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors, respectively.
Williams (QB, 6-0, 190, So., Tampa, Fla.) rushed for 111 yards on 17 attempts with two touchdowns in the Wildcats' 28-12 victory over North Carolina A&T. Earning his second start of the season, Williams also completed 11-of-19 passes for 128 yards with one touchdown.
Moore (DB, 5-11, 190, Jr., Mt. Vernon, N.Y.) recorded two interceptions, including one with 29 seconds left to play, to seal the Hornets' 20-17 victory over Norfolk State. He posted 113 interception yards, forced a fumble, broke up one pass and blocked a kick as DSU earned its first conference victory of the season. Moore also tallied eight tackles, six solo, with one for a two-yard loss.
Pough (LB, 6-3, 240, r-Sr., Orangeburg, S.C.) registered 17 total tackles, 12 solo, with 3.5 for a loss of 28 yards, including 2.5 sacks. He also forced and recovered a fumble and broke up one pass to help Howard remain undefeated in conference play with a 17-10 win over Florida A&M. Pough's performance was highlighted by breaking the Football Championship Subdivision career-record in tackles for a loss (66).
Riddick (RB, 5-11, 210, r-Fr., Richmond, Va.) recorded 68 rushing yards on a game-high 13 carries with one touchdown in the Spartans' three-point loss to Delaware State.
Hackney (LT, 6-6, 310, So., Chapel Hill, N.C.) graded out at 95-percent of his assignments as he led the Wildcats to 310 yards of total offense in Bethune-Cookman's 28-12 victory over North Carolina A&T. He also recorded four pancake blocks in the victory.
Gonzalez (PK, 5-11, 215, Sr., Visalia, Calif.) connected on 6-of-6 point after attempts, and averaged 41.6 punting yards, including a 59-yarder with two inside the 20 and three fair catches in the Bears' win over Savannah State. Additionally, he nailed a 21-yard field goal.

Damien Gresham Chisholm (HOW) collected four tackles, including a sack and three quarterback hurries in Howard's win over Florida A&M.
Nick Elko (DSU) connected on 15-of-30 passes for 206 yards with two touchdowns in the Hornets' 20-17 win over Norfolk State.
John Fleck (HOW) nailed a 48-yard field goal and averaged 47.7 yards on six punts with four inside the FAMU 20-yard line including a 60-yard boot in Howard's 17-10 victory.
Damien Fleming (FAMU) completed 26-of-41 passes for 228 yards with one touchdown in the Rattlers loss to Howard.
Tazmon Foster (NCCU) collected 12 tackles, six solo, including one for a loss of four yards. He also returned a fumble 32-yards for a touchdown in the Eagles win over South Carolina State.
Arthur Goforth (NCCU) amassed 176 all-purpose yards including 59 rushing and 61 receiving in the Eagles win over South Carolina State.
Brandon Hepburn (FAMU) finished with 10 tackles, seven solo, with one breakup in the Rattlers loss to Howard.
Terrence Lefall (HOW) rushed for a game-high 104 yards on 22 carries and caught four passes for 14 yards in Howard's 17-10 victory over Florida A&M.
Joshua Matthews (HOW) aided the Bison with 218 total offensive yards as he graded out at 94-percent on all blocking assignments and registered two pancake blocks.
Oleg Parent (NCCU) hit two field goals including a career-long 43-yard boot, and recorded four point after attempts in the Eagles win over South Carolina State.
Christopher Robinson (MSU) collected a team-high eight tackles, three solo, with 2.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in the Bears' win over Savannah State.
Ryan Smith (NCCU) tallied five tackles, three solo, with 1.5 for a loss in the Eagles win over South Carolina State.
Deshaun Summers (MSU) picked off his third pass of the season and posted one breakup in the Bears win over Savannah State.
Lynden Trail (NSU) recorded five tackles, two solo, with 2.5 for a loss of 17 yards and one quarterback hurry in a loss to Delaware State.
Mitchell Ward (DSU) hit 2-of-3 field goals of 24 and 31 yards out and averaged 63.8 yards on five kickoffs with two touchbacks in the Hornets' 20-17 win over Norfolk State.
