Michael Brown
Business Manager

Michael Brown joined the MEAC office in May 2013 as the conference's Business Manager. As the Business Manager, Brown is responsible for managing the conference's budgets, providing financial statements and overseeing the procurement process. 

He is also responsible for managing the conference's exposure to risk assessments and ensuring that professional standards are maintained in the field of information systems auditing. He is also responsible for managing the conference's annual auditing process. 

Prior to arriving to the MEAC, Brown worked as a Fiscal Technician for Benchmark Hospitality International, Inc. from 2010-12. As the Fiscal Technician, he worked directly with the hotel's controller to record revenue and monitored, controlled and maintained accounting transactions and records using the hotel's accounting system. 

A native of New York, Brown currently resides in Norfolk, Va. He is a member of Pi Sigma Epsilon Fraternity and the National Association of Black Accountants. He received his Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting from Virginia Tech.
