Savannah State to Host 2017 MEAC Men's Golf Championship

Savannah State University will host the 2017 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Golf Championship Wednesday-Friday, April 26-28, 2017 at the Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga.

The championship will feature two-time defending champion Augusta University, along with Bethune-Cookman, Florida A&M, Hampton, Maryland Eastern Shore, North Carolina Central and Savannah State. The winner will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Div. I Men’s Golf Championship.

The three-round championship will be played over the course of three days, beginning on Wednesday, April 26 at 8 a.m. with the opening round. The final round will tee off at 8 a.m. on Friday, April 28. Pairings will be announced on Wednesday, April 26 and live scoring will be available through GolfStat.

The NCAA Div. I Men’s Golf Selection Show will air on Thursday, May 4 at 12 p.m. on Golf Channel.

The Crosswinds Golf Club is a unique par-72 course with narrow fairways that features five par-5s and five par-3s, along with TiFeagle greens and Bermuda fairways.
