MEAC Announces Baseball Weekly Honors
O'Brien (C, 6-5, Jr., Miami Gardens, Fla.) aided the Wildcats to a 4-1 mark last week including a 3-0 sweep in conference play against Florida A&M, a 7-6 win against Jacksonville and a 7-6 loss to #28 Stetson. The catcher hit .400 from the plate with six RBI, two home runs and walked five times in 15 appearances. Defensively, he added five assists with 41 putouts and no errors.
Garner (P, 6-2, Fr., Port Orange, Fla.) earned the win as Bethune-Cookman defeated Florida A&M 16-6. Garner posted a 0.00 ERA and struck out five of the 22 batters. He only allowed one hit and walked one in six innings of action.
Biocic (2B/DH, 5-9, Fr., Merritt Island, Fla.) hit .545 from the plate with seven RBI, including one double in four victories for the Wildcats. In 11 plate appearances, Biocic scored five runs and walked three times.

Bryan Chaikowsky (UMES) averaged .563 with eight RBI, one triple and two doubles to aid the Hawks to a 2-2 mark last week.
Carvell Copeland (NCAT) hit .449 from the plate (2-of-5) with one RBI in a win over Norfolk State.
Jeff Fleetwood (UMES) posted seven RBI, one home run and one double in two games for the Hawks.
Tony Gatto (DSU) tallied four RBI and three doubles, while hitting .400 from the plate in four games for the Hornets.
Ryan Haas (DSU) posted a 0.00 ERA , allowing just three hits and one walk in a win over North Carolina Central.
Matt McClain (DSU) earned the win against North Carolina Central with a 1.28 ERA in seven innings.
Jarryd Reid (FAMU) tallied four RBI, one home run, and two doubles in five games for the Rattlers.
