MEAC Announces Baseball Weekly Honors
NORFOLK, Va. – Maryland Eastern Shore senior Stephen Bull earned the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Player of the Week honors, the conference announced on Monday. Delaware State’s Matt McClain was selected Pitcher of the Week, while teammate Ron Farley earned Rookie of the Week accolades.
Bull (OF, 5-6, Sr., Millsboro, Del.) led the Hawks to a three-game win streak, including a sweep of Navy, first in school history. Bull registered 15 hits, including a pair of doubles, eight runs scored and three RBIs. He went 5-for-5 with two runs batted in and a run scored in an 8-7 victory against Navy.
McClain (P, 6-1, Sr., Dover, Del.) pitched his fourth complete game of the season, in a 10-1 win against Coppin State. McClain struck out eight and scattered six hits. He is now 5-0 on the season.
Farley (OF, 6-2, Fr., Cockeysville, Md.) went 10-for-22 with a pair of doubles and two stolen bases in a 4-1 week. During the week, Farley drove in six RBIs while also scoring eight runs. He had two RBIs to help the Hornets defeat Towson, 4-3.

Mike Alexander (DSU) smacked a home run in a 10-1 win over Coppin State.
Ross Cardwell (NSU) recorded the game-winning RBIs in wins at William and Mary and Maryland Eastern Shore.
William Carrasco (FAMU) went 1-0 with a 1.08 ERA in eight innings pitched in three appearances.
Alex Dandridge (NCCU) had a 2.70 ERA with four strikeouts in six innings pitched against Bethune-Cookman.
Justin Dattilo (UMES) went 2-for-5, including one double, in a win against Navy.
Austin Garcia (BCU) went 3-for-5 with three RBIs in a 9-3 win over North Carolina Central.
Devin Hemmerich (NSU) registered saves against William & Mary and Maryland Eastern Shore.
Carlos Ortiz (NCCU) batted 6-for-12, with a home run and four RBIs, in a three-game series against Bethune-Cookman.
Matt Outman (NSU) pitched his first-career complete game during a win over UMES 4-2.
Bernard Parker (UMES) scattered one hit and fanned three in four innings in a 10-4 victory over Navy.
Bennie Robinson (FAMU) went 3-for-4 with two RBIs against Savannah State.
Christopher Waltermire (BCU) pitched 5.2 innings, including earning a save against North Carolina Central.
