STILLWATER, Okla. – The No. 30 nationally-ranked Augusta Jaguars commenced round one of the NCAA Stillwater Regional on Monday and are tied for fifth with No. 31 Purdue at 15-over par at Karsten Creek Golf Club.

Karsten Creek Golf Club, home of the Oklahoma State's men's golf team, is the host site for regional action for the third time. Making their 20th all-time appearance in the NCAA Regional, the Jaguars return to Karsten Creek for the first time since June 2011 when they won their second consecutive National Championship by defeating Georgia 3-2 in the Match Play Finals.

The Jags shot 15-over par (303) as a team and sit even in fifth with Purdue. Host Oklahoma State leads the 14-team field at three-under par on the par-72, 7,418-yard course. No. 18 Oklahoma is close behind their rival in second place plus four, and Louisville and Northwestern are tied for third overall.

The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals.

Junior Jake Marriott fired a 71 (-1) to guide Augusta in round one with a birdie on the front and back nine. Marriott is tied for fifth overall, while teammate sophomore Broc Everett is in 16th place with a round-one 74 (+2).

Senior Robin Peterssson maintained steady play after a triple bogey on his first hole. Petersson managed to end round one with a six-over 78 and is knotted in 36th place. Senior Maverick Antcliff turned in an 80 (+8) and is tied for 49th while junior Emmanuel Kountakis is in 57th with an 82 (+10).

Round two begins tomorrow with tee times of No. 1 and No. 10 at Karsten Creek.

The field for the 2016 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championships consists of 81 qualifying schools, which includes 31 conference automatic qualifiers, 50 teams selected at-large and 45 individuals not on those teams.

Team and individual medalist titles will be decided May 27-June 1 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Oregon.  The University of Oregon is the host institution for the 2016 championships.
