Jags Trio Tees Off At U.S. Amateur Championship on Monday

TOWNSHIP, Mich. – Augusta University rising junior Broc Everett, rising senior Jake Marriott, and 2016 senor Robin Petersson begin play in the 116th U.S. Amateur August 15 at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Mich.

The Jaguars compete in the U.S. Amateur August 15-21. The tourney begins with stroke play and the low 64 advance to match play after two rounds.

Championship Schedule/Format:

Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14

· Practice Rounds

Monday, August 15 and Tuesday, August 16

· 312 qualifiers compete in 36 holes of stroke play – 18 holes on the North Course and 18 holes on the South Course – the low 64 advance to match play

Wednesday, August 17 through Saturday, August 20

· The best 64 players go head-to-head in single elimination match play on the South Course until only two remain

Championship Sunday, August 21

· The two finalists meet in a 36-hole showdown on “The Monster” to determine the 116th United States Amateur Champion
