MEAC Announces Monthly Golf Honors

Augusta University junior Broc Everett was named Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Men’s Golfer of the Month today, the conference office announced.

Everett (6-4, Jr., West Des Moines, Iowa) shot under par in all three rounds of the Southwestern Invitational, turning in an 8-under 208 to finish tied for third on the individual leaderboard. He went 69-69-70 on the par-72 course for the tournament, and he has broken 70 seven times this season. His efforts helped Augusta finish seventh in the team standings.

Other Top Performers

Joel Ramirez (B-CU) fired an even-par 216 (70-74-72) to finish 10th in the Invitational at Savannah Harbor, helping the team finish fifth.

Demarkis Cooper (MDES) fired a 157 (78-79) to tie for eighth in the Florida A&M Spring Invitational.

Adam Walden (SSU) won the Florida A&M Spring Invitational with a 147 (70-77), breaking par in the first round.
