MEAC Announces Weekly Bowling Honors

North Carolina A&T State senior Kristin Shinn was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Bowler of the Week, the conference announced today.

Shinn (Sr., West Columbia, S.C.) finished 13th at the Stormin’ Ladyjack Classic hosted by Stephen F. Austin this past weekend, leading the Aggies to wins over three nationally-ranked programs. She averaged 207.8 pins in traditional play to help her team to a 4-1 record – including wins over No. 2 Arkansas State and No. 4 Sam Houston State. In Baker play, she averaged 172.6 pins, before averaging 196.0 pins in tournament play.

Other Top Performers

Mya Hamlett (CSU) averaged 170.2 pins per frame, helping her team defeat No. 20 Franklin Pierce at the Kutztown Invitational.

Alexandra Hernandez (MDES) helped her team finish seventh in the Stormin’ Ladyjack Classic, including a pair of wins against No. 5 Vanderbilt. She averaged 203.3 pins for the weekend.
