MEAC Women's Basketball Season Opens With Eight Games

Eight MEAC women's basketball teams were in action on Friday to kick off the 2017-18 season. Five of the eight teams picked up wins, highlighted by Hampton's four-point victory over North Carolina in Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, N.C.

Hampton 70, North Carolina 66

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. -- An 18-7 run in the last 6:29 enabled Hampton to score a season-opening 70-66 win over North Carolina on Friday at Carmichael Arena.
