Teammate Tim Johnson was named Pitcher of the Week, while Norfolk State’s Chris Joyce earned Rookie of the Week accolades for the second straight week.
Other Top Performers: Quinn Bright (NSU) posted a 1.13 ERA in eight innings last week in a win over Florida A&M for the Spartans. Hiram Burgos (B-CU) did not allow a run and struck out seven batters in eight innings for the Wildcats during two games last week. Jose’ Lozado (B-CU) batted .450 (6-for-20) with one home run, three doubles, four RBI with three stolen bases to help the Wildcats to a 4-1 mark last week.
